Even though it is still January, there is a lot to plan to get ready for Spring. Here in Coastal zone 8 we will be starting some of our garden seeds the second week of February. Its now time to decide what is going to be planted this year and get a good idea of when each of those seeds need to be started.

We also have 8 ewes that are pregnant. They could start delivering as early as February so in a few weeks we need to be vigilant in watching for signs of impending birth. While things are currently pretty quiet on the homestead, it will soon be alive with lots of activity!
